About SOTCR: Social Distancing Edition

At Martin, Harding & Mazzotti, we have been working on a project called The Spirit of the Capital Region (SOTCR) – a video series featuring the many local businesses, events, and charities that those in our area can be proud of. We were set to premiere the series, but due to the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, we decided to take the project in a different direction: We will now feature a local small business or organization in a short video blog on weekdays to get the word out about what they are currently offering, and how we as a community can support them (while practicing the recommended social distancing).

Hi, my name is Emily and I work for Martin Harding & Mazzotti. And this is The Spirit of the Capital Region: Social Distancing Edition.

Local salons have had to close their doors for appointments, so many are finding other ways to continue serving their clients. Today’s featured establishment is Bombshell Hair & Beauty Studio located in Downtown Albany. They have another location, Bombshell Uptown, located in Delmar.

Gift cards are available for future service on their website. It’s a great way to support your stylist while you’re waiting for your chance to get back in the chair.

They’re also offering curbside pickup for their hair and skin care products. Pickup is available in Albany Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pickup is available in Delmar Thursdays 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

For pickup, they are only accepting credit cards, and will be practicing social distancing.

Bombshell Uptown also did their part by donating 1500 gloves to a local hospital that needed them.

Another way to support them is to follow them on social media. You’ll find updates, videos, and tutorials on how to keep your hair looking great.

So until you can visit the salon again, remember they have products available for pickup, and gift cards for that haircut that we’re all going to need when this is over.
